Pittsburgh-area couple charged with stealing from pastor while he conducted Christmas Eve services

PITTSBURGH — Police have charged a Pittsburgh-area man and a woman with burglarizing the home of a pastor on Christmas Eve while he conducted a holiday service.

Authorities say they’re looking for 28-year-old Jessica Hirth and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Jeremiah Kelly, of Ross. They’re wanted on charges of burglary, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.

Hirth and Kelley allegedly stole a handgun, laptop, credit cards, personal checks and rare coins Monday night from the home of Rev. Michael Guthrie, pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Pittsburgh. Guthrie is also Hirth’s uncle.

A gun belonging to Guthrie’s late son was also allegedly stolen, so police say Hirth and Kelly should be considered armed and dangerous.
