Man dies in one-vehicle accident near Blair County line

CRESSON — The Cambria County Coroner’s office is expected to release later today the name of a Cresson area man who died Sunday evening in a one-vehicle crash on Wopsononock Road at the Cambria-Blair County line.

Cambria Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees said this morning that the driver of the car was killed after hitting a tree head on.

State police investigating the crash said the man, believed to be about 46 years old, was the only person in the vehicle. It was believed to be traveling northbound and was found upside down and wedged against a tree about 20 feet from the roadway.
