SAMA awards dinner moves to Altoona site

— Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Altoona will be the site of the organization’s third annual Night of Distinction at 6 p.m. April 26.

The semiformal dinner event is designed to celebrate some of the museum’s most dedicated and longest-serving benefactors.

The event usually is held in SAMA’s Loretto museum but was moved to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Altoona location.

This year SAMA will present Dr. Betty J. Lowell Cottle and Nancy Devorris with service to the arts awards.

Joseph Mack and Gerald P. Wolf will be honored with trustee emeritus appointments.

Cost is $80 per person.

Reservations are required by April 21 and can be made by calling 472-3920.
