Man sentenced in girlfriend's son's death

A western Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for the death of his former girlfriend's son.

Twenty-eight-year-old Shawn Anderson-Holmes had pleaded guilty and was sentenced Monday to between 27 months and 10 years in prison in the killing of a toddler who was smothered to death in March 2012.

Authorities say Anderson-Holmes admitted in October to placing a pillow over the face of Colby Jozefczyk, his girlfriend's 16-month-old, and trying to make it look like an accident.

Anderson-Holmes was originally charged with criminal homicide, but prosecutors agreed to reduce the charges to involuntary manslaughter as part of the guilty plea.
