A Johnstown man who allegedly kidnapped a woman at gunpoint has turned himself into police.
Shane Cordarell Johnson, 25, of the 400 block of Coleman Avenue, surrendered to city police Tuesday night, police Chief Craig Foust said.
Police said Johnson went to a woman’s apartment in the Oakhurst Homes early Saturday, demanding drugs and money.
When the woman called a relative to get more cash, Johnson allegedly forced her to leave two young children home alone and go with him to the other location.
Once the two arrived at the second location, police said, the woman was able to run into a home and call police.
Johnson was arraigned by on-call District Judge Michael Musulin of Johnstown on kidnapping and related charges. He was sent to the Cambria County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $100,000 bond.
