Bank robber sought: Undisclosed amount taken from Stoystown First National branch

STOYSTOWN — A man robbed a Stoystown bank of an undisclosed amount of money Monday morning, state police in Somerset said.

A man between 50 and 60 years old entered the First National Bank branch at 100 Main St. shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.

The man handed a teller a handwritten note demanding money, troopers said.

The teller handed the man a bank bag with money and he walked out of the front door and headed south on Main Street, troopers said.

The robber is described as a white male with a slim build and some facial hair.

He was last see wearing camouflage pants, shirt and a hat.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact state police at 445-4104.
