City shooting investigated

JOHNSTOWN — Two people were taken to the hospital following a report of shots being fired on Messenger Street near Horner Street around 10 p.m. Monday.

Detectives and officers were busy collecting evidence at the scene and had Messenger Street blocked off on either side of Horner Street.

Galen Watts of Johnstown said he was driving home when he heard multiple shots being fired in the area.

Dale Borough police also were at the scene along with Johnstown firefighters and medical personnel from Seventh Ward and West End ambulance services.
