Gander Mountain robbed

JOHNSTOWN — Richland Township police are looking for a man who walked into Gander Mountain near the Galleria late Tuesday and allegedly held up the store.

The man, whose appearance was disguised by a blue sweatshirt hood and green face mask, demanded an employee open a store register. He then reached in when it opened and pulled out cash and checks, Police Chief Michael Burgan said.

The man did not display a gun, Burgan said, noting no one was injured in the incident.

The man quickly fled the store around 8:30 p.m., just moments after entering, he added.

Police are looking into whether surveillance video might be able to help them identify the store robber, Burgan said.
