Cheer squads compete at Greater Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN — The 18th annual Laurel Highlands Cheer Classic was held Saturday at Greater Johnstown High School and it featured over 500 cheerleaders competing in elementary, middle school, junior high, varsity, all-star and dance divisions.

Winners include:

Peewee: Richland, first; Johns-town, second.

Elementary: Richland, first; Bishop McCort, second; Johns-town, third; Windber, fourth.

Middle school: Richland, first; Johnstown, second; Central Cambria, third.

Junior high: Bishop McCort, first.

Junior varsity: Bishop Carroll, first.

Small varsity: Johnstown, first; Portage, second; Ligonier Valley, third; Penn Manor, fourth.

Medium varsity: Bishop McCort, first; Richland, second; Somerset, third.

All-star tiny level one: Extreme, first.

All-star mini level one: Extreme, first.

All-star senior level three: Extreme, first.

All-star senior level 4.2: Extreme, first.

Senior hip hop: Extreme, first.

All-star youth level two: Extreme, first; Sparklers, second.

All-star junior level two: Extreme, first; USA Elite, second.

Youth hip hop: Turner’s, first; Extreme, second.
