Police identify man killed in vehicle accident Sunday night

ASHVILLE — The Cambria County man killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in Dean Township has been identified as Mark T. Bush, 45, of Dysart.

Cambria County Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees said this afternoon that Bush died of multiple traumatic injuries due to blunt force trauma after his car left the highway and ran into a grove of trees.

The 9:25 p.m. crash occurred as Bush was traveling west on Wopsononock Road. Police said his 2008 Dodge Avenger came out of a slight curve in the roadway, left the highway and struck several trees.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown into the back seat where the Ashville Volunteer Fire Company had to extricate him.

He was pronounced dead by Lees at the scene at 10:27 p.m.
