Man dressed as woman robs bank in Richland Township

JOHNSTOWN — Police in Richland Township are searching for a man who dressed as a woman and robbed the First National Bank at 1458 Scalp Ave. this afternoon.

The man, who was between 6 feet and 6 feet, 3 inches tall, was wearing a red wig and a black dress and carried a black handbag, police said. He handed a note to a teller demanding money and, once he received it, left the bank. Police did not say if he fled on foot or via a vehicle.
