Mr. Keiper was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosalie A. (Campbell) Keiper. He is survived by his daughter, Lee Ann, wife of Robert Grasso, Wilmington, Del., and his son, Brian, Baltimore, Md. In addition, his loving grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Caroline Grasso, all of Wilmington, Del., and Taylor Keiper and Jacob Wissinger, both of Windber; beloved family members including Sharon and James Wissinger, both of Windber. He is also survived by his sisters, Laverne Cowles, and husband, Eugene, Bedford; brother, Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper, and wife, Lois, Bolivar; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Keiper graduated in 1950 from Johnstown High School and received his associate degree from Cambria-Rowe Business College. He spent many wonderful years as the owner and proprietor of Coe’s Cooper Avenue in Coopersdale. After the store’s closing, he became a senior employment specialist for AARP and resident monitor for Valley Pike Manor. He loved cooking and sports, was an avid fisherman and hunter, and was active for many years in a number of civic organizations, including West End Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and Jaffa Shrine. His greatest joy was his family. He will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Geisel Funeral Home, Dale. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Windber United Methodist Church, Stockholm Avenue, Windber, by the Rev. Gary Grau. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Our family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the nursing staff and physicians at St. Andrew’s Village and Indiana Regional Hospital in Indiana, Pa., for their loving care and support. Flowers are welcome. Donations may also be made to St. Andrew’s Village, 1155 Indian Springs Road, Indiana, Pa. 15701.
