Robert Bruce Rhoades

RHOADES –  Robert Bruce, 67, Upper Yoder Township, died Nov. 7, 2009, at his residence with his loving family at his side. Born Nov. 2, 1942, in Johnstown, son of Richard C. and Phyllis L. (Nagle) Rhoades. Preceded in death by parents; infant daughter, Pamela Christine; and infant son, Robert Patrick. Survived by wife of 44 years, Maryann (Edwards); son, Timothy W., married to former Keri Sheesley, Westmont; grandchildren, Jacob Robert and Katelyn Mae Rhoades; brothers, James W., and late wife, Barbara Brandt, Johnstown, and Terry W., married to former Elizabeth Freiwald, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Moxham Lutheran Church. A 1961 Ferndale-Dale High School graduate. He enjoyed taking walks, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Retired from Mardis Wholesale Inc. He was an Army veteran. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., and from 10 until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Moxham Lutheran Church, the Rev. Dr. Robert R. Wagner. Military rites by Ritual Team 155 at the church.
