In brief: Brothersvalley Township home burglarized

A burglary between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 6:15 p.m. Friday in Brothersvalley Township netted the thief or thieves about $1,000 in merchandise.
State police at Somerset said a window on a back door at a residence along Tipple Road was broken to gain entry. Taken were a plasma television valued at approximately $500, a PlayStation valued at about $400 and prescription medication valued at approximately $100, police said.
The victim is Mark Andrew Spangler of Berlin, police said.
Pickup driver hurt in crash
The driver was injured when his pickup crashed at 1:58 p.m. Thursday on Plank Road in Quemahoning Township.
State police said Barry Rose, 43, of the 200 block of North Willow Street, Stoystown, received a minor injury.
The pickup went out of control on a curve, striking an embankment and two trees, police said.
Two injured in Indiana County wreck
Two men were injured when a triaxle truck and a pickup crashed at 7 a.m. Saturday on Route 403 in Cherryhill Township, Indiana County.
State police identified the driver of the triaxle as Timothy Lechene, 43, of Patton, who they said received a minor injury. The driver of the pickup was identified by the police as John Walker, 55, of Marion Center, who was treated at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
