The 18-year-old mother of a child kidnapped from her Bedford County home Monday has been arrested and is in the county jail, state police said Tuesday.
The mother, Sarah Guinn, 19, and another person, Tabitha Sue Houp, 19, both of Frostburg, Md., are in the Bedford County Jail on charges of kidnapping/criminal conspiracy, interfering with the custody of children and concealing the whereabouts of a child.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the maternal grandmother, Angela Deanne Guinn, 40, of Flintstone, Md., who faces similar charges, police said.
No charges had been filed Tuesday against a fourth person, a 17-year-old juvenile who is listed as an additional suspect.
State police in Bedford said the suspects took Airyonna Nicole Donaldson, 17 months, from her home along Horton Drive in Broad Top Township about 7 p.m. Monday. The child lives with her legal guardian at that residence.
Police said they were contacted by the alleged kidnappers later Monday night, and arrangements were made to meet at the Maryland-Pennsylvania state line. The child was returned to her legal guardian about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Angela Guinn may contact state police at 623-6133.
