In brief: Flinton woman killed in head-on crash

— An 82-year-old Flinton woman died just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday when the car she was driving hit another head-on.
State police said it was not clear if Natalie Maier was killed in the wreck or died of natural causes prior to hitting the other vehicle.
Maier was driving southbound on Route 53 in Reade Township when her car veered off the road, striking a guide rail, Long said. The car then returned to the roadway, and crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Several people in the other vehicle were transported by ambulance, but their names and conditions were not available late Sunday.
Second victim of Haws Pike wreck dies
A second victim has died as the result of a violent Jan. 27 crash on Haws Pike.
Richard Facci, 62, of the 300 block of Seventh Avenue in Johnstown, died at 12:43 a.m. Sunday, Cambria County Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees said. An autopsy conducted Sunday showed Facci died of multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the wreck.
Manner of death is listed as “accidental,” Lees said.
Facci was a passenger in a Subaru driven by Todd Block, 49, of Johnstown, who was killed instantly when the car was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The Tahoe’s driver was Melody Shanae Harris, 19, of the 600 block of Ash Street, Johnstown. Both Harris and Edelyn Madalura, her passenger, are charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine and criminal conspiracy after police found cocaine concealed in their belongings.
