Robinson woman killed in accident

A local woman was killed shortly after 1 p.m. Monday when the car in which she was riding went out of control and crashed on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township.
Jean Morse, 78, was pronounced dead at a landing area in Bolivar where a medical helicopter was to have picked her up to transport her to an area hospital shortly after the accident.
The cause of death was listed as multiple blunt trauma, Paul Cycak, Westmoreland County chief deputy coroner said.
The accident happened in Indiana County, but the landing area was in Westmoreland County Cycak said.
State police at Indiana identified the driver as 84-year-old Charles Morse.
The police said that the southbound car hit a guardrail and then an utility police before flipping onto its roof and coming to rest on a grassy area. The police said that both the driver and the passenger had been wearing seat belts.
