Get out those old refrigerators and tires for the annual spring collections in central and northern Cambria County.
The Cambria County chapter of Pa. CleanWays, a nonprofit with a mission to eliminate illegal dumping and littering in Pennsylvania, works with local municipalities to sponsor annual cleanups in spring and fall.
The appliance and tire recycling collections will be held on three Saturdays in Croyle Township, Tunnelhill Borough, Patton Borough and Cambria Township.
The fee for appliances is $12 for with Freon and $6 without Freon.
The fee for tires is $2 off rim and $3 on rim.
Pa. Cleanways has been cosponsoring the collections for about10 years, and the events have grown in popularity, county chapter member Noah Niedererr said.
As much as possible is recycled.
