State police on Friday issued an Amber Alert in the alleged abduction of a Bedford County teen.
Crystal Ann Beck, 16, of the Everett area, was last seen at her residence at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
She initially was listed as a missing person.
Police said Friday evening that she was believed to be in the company of Timothy Mock, 20, of Schellsburg. Beck may have been taken from her residence by Mock against her will.
Police also said they filed charges against Mock and have obtained a felony arrest warrant for him.
A possible vehicle involved in the abduction is a 2003 white Nissan Sentra; registration is FDS7415.
The alert describes Crystal as 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with long brown hair and brown eyes.
She may be wearing a white sleeveless shirt, blue jeans, a yellow South Pole hooded sweatshirt and white tennis shoes.
Bedford County District Attorney William Higgins said the Amber Alert multistate notification system was instituted because there are indications Crystal may not have wanted to go with the assailant.
“She’s 16 years old, and in the custody of her parents and it’s not clear she went with this guy willingly,” Higgins said.
Anyone with information may call Bedford state police: 623-6133 or 911.
