NEW – Vandals steal gas, destroy church property In Bedford County

BEDFORD — State police are seeking information into the theft of gasoline from two church vans in East Providence Township earlier this month.

An estimated 60 gallons of gasoline carrying a value of $200 was taken from two vans belonging to the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 1092 Lighthouse Road, Breezewood, between April 6 and April 8, according to information released by authorities this morning.

The cost of the crime to the church was significantly higher because the gas was taken by cutting the fuel lines in each of the van, adding an additional $400 in losses.
