David A. Wirfel

WIRFEL – David A., 61, New Germany, died unexpectedly May 4, 2008, in Summerhill. Born Dec. 15, 1946, in New Germany, son of Felix and Adelaide (Illig) Wirfel. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Robert and Cletus, who died April 26, 2008; and brother-in-law, Billy Bagshaw. Survived by brothers and sisters: Charles, married to Constance Krug; Ermin, married to Hazel Freidoff all of Munster; Anna Bagshaw, McKeesport; Frances, wife of Richard Wess; Leon; Mary Haberl; Martha, wife of Jack Smith, all of New Germany; Elizabeth, wife of Richard McCall, Summerhill; and Kenneth, married to Anna Marie Hajnos, Windber; also sister-in-law, Shirley Wirfel, New Germany; special friend, Linda (Bimle) Roberts, Portage; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany; the GBU; and the Summerhill Social Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Alfred Patterson, OSB. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Germany.
