Laurel Hill Creek bridge work means detour

For The Tribune-Democrat

TRENT PennDOT announced today that a detour will be in effect beginning Monday on Route 3039 (Triple Creek Road) in Middlecreek Township, Somerset County.

The detour is necessary so that work can begin on the reconstruction of Laurel Hill Creek Bridge. The project consists of replacement of the bridge beams and concrete deck, approach work, pavement markings and guiderail upgrades.

The detour, which is approximately six miles in length, will route traffic from Route 3039 (Triple Creek Road) to Route 3029 (County Line Road) and Route 3033 (Barron Church Road).

Marricco Construction Co. Inc., of McMurray is the contractor for the $297,388 project. Work is to be complete by fall 2008.
