Man found dead after cycle crash

THE TRIBUNE-DEMOCRAT

State police in Blair County are trying to determine the circumstances behind a traffic accident in which a motorcycle operator was found deceased.

Ralph Stayer of Duncansville was riding at the intersection of 6th and Park avenues in the borough when his 2007 Kawasaki went off the road about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The motorcycle crashed at a grassy area near the park walking bridge near a creek. The motorcycle struck a signpost.

A neighborhood child playing in a yard saw Stayer lying there and summoned his father, who called 911.

State police found no sign of excessive speed.
