Jarvis will be the next mayor of N. Cambria

BY SUSAN EVANS
THE TRIBUNE-DEMOCRAT

NORTHERN CAMBRIA The Tuesday primary settled it – Carol Jarvis will be the next mayor of Northern Cambria.

Jarvis was the top vote-getter over fellow Democrats Mark Farrell and John Dospoy.

With no Republicans running, Jarvis’s primary win makes the November election unnecessary.

She will be replacing Mayor Gennaro Cantalupo, who is not running for re-election.

All three candidates said

they wanted to restore faith

in law enforcement after former Chief Kevin Stanek was fired.

Jarvis, whose family moved to Florida but returned to Northern Cambria when she and her husband retired, said she would like to establish a Crime Watch Program.

She also emphasized the importance of a good working relationship with borough police.
