PennDOT has announced that work will begin today to rehabilitate two bridges on Route 1021 (Beaver Valley Road) in Reade and White Townships of Cambria County.
The first of two bridges crosses Clearfield Creek and is located just west of the intersection of Route 1021 (Beaver Valley Road) and Route 53. The second bridge carries Route 1021 (Beaver Valley Road) over Beaverdam Run and is located less than a half mile west of the intersection with Route 53. Temporary signals have been placed for single lane traffic control at both structures.
Both bridges will consist of deck rehabilitations along with minimal approach work and guiderail upgrades.
Plum Contracting, Inc., of Pittsburgh is the contractor for the $1.4 million project. The project is being financed with 100 percent state monies. Both bridges are expected to be completed in November.
