Women charged in sex party

By SUSAN EVANS
The Tribune-Democrat

EBENSBURG Two middle-aged women are accused of having a sex party with three children and sharing obscene sexual materials with them in an Ebensburg residence, The Tribune-Democrat has learned.

One woman performed “lap or dirty dances” with the children, ages 9 to 12, and told one young boy to have sex with her adult female friend, according to charges filed by borough police.

The other woman exposed her breast while dancing and tried to have sex with a young boy, police charge.

Elizabeth Hemming, 32, of the 300 block of South Phaney Street, where the party reportedly took place, and Susan Churilla, 42, of Twin Rocks, are charged with sexual exploitation of children, a felony. They also face counts including corruption of minors, obscene sexual materials and performances, and open lewdness.

The incident supposedly took place the evening of May 17 at the South Phaney Street residence. But police did not learn of it until days later, when one of the victims contacted a grandparent, who notified police.

“This is a very unusual case for us,” said Sgt. Robert Sapp, who investigated and filed charges.

The kids have been protected from having any contact with the women, police said.

The criminal complaint tells a shocking story.

“The defendant (Hemming) turned a vibrator on and made several sexual motions with it by using her hand. She also gave two lap or dirty dances and placed a dollar bill in the one boy’s shorts,” the complaint says.

“The defendant also tried to make a male and a female juvenile kiss and told the one male juvenile to jump on her 42-year-old friend and have sex with her,” the complaint says.

“The defendant (Churilla) exposed her breast to children, and her co-defendant tried to have one of the male victims have sex with the defendant,” the complaint says.

Summonses have been issued, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 7 before District Judge Fred Creany.
