Church posters available

The Tribune-Democrat

The Johnstown branch of the NAACP has published color posters featuring the

15 minority churches of Cambria County.

The posters were made as part of the group’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Churches pictured on the poster are: Bethel A.M.E. Church, Christ-Centered Community Mission, First Cambria A.M.E. Zion Church, Heavenly Sent Ministries, Jefferson Memorial First Church, Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Pilgrim Church of God in Christ, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, Stevens Memorial Holy Church, St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Trinity Asbury United Meth-odist, Undenominational

House of God, Praise Center Full Gospel Church and Works of Deliverance.

The posters cost $10 and can be picked up at the churches, the Johnstown Flood Museum, Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce and welcome center, Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center, the Heritage Discovery Center and Johnstown Candy Store or ordered by calling the NAACP office at 535-6937.

Proceeds go to the local NAACP branch.
