NEW – Road work to begin in Ebensburg on Monday

PennDOT announced that on Monday, work will begin on the Route 1036 (Rowena Drive) bridge replacement project in the borough of Ebensburg, Cambria County.

Work will begin to replace the existing structure which carries Route 1036 (Rowena Drive) over Howell’s Run at Lake Rowena. Also included in this project is drainage work, guiderail improvements, roadway approach work and the construction of a temporary pedestrian bridge.

A signed detour will be in place directing traffic around the construction. Traffic will be routed using Route 22, Route 219 and Route 4031 (High Street).

Charles J. Merlo, Inc., of Mineral Point is the contractor on this $1,073,646 project. This project is being completed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state monies.

All work on this project will be completed by late November.
