NEW – Windber detour will be in place starting Monday

The Tribune-Democrat

PennDOT announced that work will begin on Monday on the Route 160 (Graham Avenue) bridge structure in Windber Borough.

Work on the bridge will take place at the intersection of 17th Street and Route 160 (Graham Avenue).

Work requires the road to be detoured following Route 160 (Graham Avenue), 18th Street, Somerset Ave, 13th or 15th Street back to Route 160 (Graham Ave.) During this time the sidewalk will also be closed and a pedestrian detour will be in place.

Minimal traffic delays are possible.

Plum Contracting Inc. of Pittsburgh is the contractor for the $1.3 million project. All work is expected to be completed by late August before the beginning of the school year.
