City man facing new drug charges

A Johnstown man out on bail for charges of selling crack cocaine in March has now is facing three more drug charges.
Cirilto Cheatham, 24, of the 600 block of Ash Street, first was charged on
March 13 with drug possession, drug possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy to sell crack cocaine.
Charges stemmed from March 11, when undercover police and an informant picked up Cheatham in the city’s Hornerstown section and drove him to the
700 block of Highland Ave. In Moxham, police say, Cheatham went into a home, came out with crack cocaine and sold it to the informant.
He was arraigned April 15 and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.
Preliminary hearings scheduled for April 23 and May 21 both were continued, according to court documents.
Cheatham came in June 2 to District Judge Rick Varner’s courtroom in Salix, waived his right to the preliminary hearing and sent the case to Cambria County Court. But by that time he allegedly again was selling drugs.
Police say Cheatham met an informant on May 29 in the Bridge Street area of Moxham and sold crack cocaine as undercover police watched.
He was charged with drug possession, possession with intent, conspiracy and
– because the informant set up the alleged drug deal by calling Cheatham’s cell phone – criminal use of a communications facility or device.
Cheatham was arraigned on those charges June 19 after police picked him up on charges in more two alleged drug sales June 3 and June 19. Both cases involved meeting the informant in the Bridge Street area after a call to Cheatham’s cell phone. In both cases, he is charged with drug possession, possession with intent and criminal use of a communications facility.
He waived all charges to Cambria County Court on Monday in Varner’s courtroom.
He was released after posting $10,000, or 10 percent of his $100,000 bond.
