New Blair magistrate’s employee charged with stealing court funds

ALTOONA The office manager for District Judge Jeffrey Auker has been arrested by state investigators for stealing more than $35,000 in court funds.

Christine Dively, 58, of Duncansville, allegedly failed to make 44 daily bank deposits of cash, checks and money orders in 2006 and 2007.

Attorney General Tom Corbett, whose office investigated the missing funds, said that Dively was charged with three felony offenses - two of theft and one count of receiving stolen property.

She was arraigned before Center County District Judge Carmine Prestia and released on $25,000 unsecured bond. She will by prosecuted in Centre County by a member of the state attorney general’s staff, Corbett said.
