Jurors selected for burglary trial

The Tribune-Democrat

EBENSBURG A jury was selected Thursday for the trial of a Summerhill man accused of breaking into a vacant Summerhill Township residence, stealing outdoor equipment and tools and setting fire to the home.

Stephen Adams, 31, of the 100 block of Lance Street, is charged in the Feb. 25 burglary of a house in the 100 block of Century Street.

Police said that a bow and arrows, scanners, propane torches, a hoist lift and other items were stolen.

Although the cause of the fire was listed as undetermined, Assistant District Attorney Wayne Langerholc said that electrical power to the house had been cut off.

Adams is represented by Richard Corcoran, a public defender.

The trial is scheduled to open Monday before Judge Timothy Creany and is expected to last two days.
