Salisbury man accused of arson

By PATRICK BUCHNOWSKI
The Tribune-Democrat

BERLIN A Salisbury man was jailed Friday after authorities said he set fire to a home in Brothersvalley Township.

Roger Lee Most Jr., 42, of the 100 block of Riverside Drive, was charged with arson, theft, criminal mischief, trespass and related charges.

In a court document, state police in Somerset said Most set fire to a home on Movilla Drive in Berlin on Sept. 23 following a dispute with a woman who lives there.

No one was injured. Damage was estimated at $25,000.

Later that day, an ambulance was dispatched to Most’s residence in response to a possible overdose.

Most told troopers that he had ingested medication that was prescribed to the woman.

He then allegedly assaulted the ambulance crew that responded. He struck and then bit an ambulance attendant on her right forearm, troopers said.

For that, he faces three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Most was arraigned by District Judge Douglas Bell of Meyersdale and sent to the Somerset County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bond.

Weeks earlier, Most was charged with sexual assault and ordered to stay away from the woman, troopers said.
