NEW – Fire marshal probing fatal mobile home fire in Saltsburg

A state police fire marshal is investigating a mobile home fire where a 61-year-old western Pennsylvania man has been found dead.

Firefighters were called about 10 p.m. Tuesday to the home in Loyalhanna Township in Westmoreland County. Authorities say William Murphy lived there alone was found dead on a couch in the living room.

Police still do not know how the fire started. An autopsy was scheduled Wednesday.

A neighbor says Murphy’s grandchild was supposed to spend the night with him Tuesday, but those plans changed at the last minute.
