Three charged with dealing drugs

Three individuals suspected of dealing large amounts of illegal and prescription drugs in Cambria County have been arrested, authorities announced Thursday. Included are a mother and son accused of dealing crack cocaine, heroin and prescription pills in the Cresson area.

In a statement, Cambria County District Attorney Patrick Kiniry said Jodi Ulicne, 37, and her son, Cody Slebodnick, 18, both of the 100 block of Easy Street in Cresson, were arrested after making deals with undercover police informants.

The investigation was the result of several calls by area residents to the drug hot line, (800) 252-6465.

It was carried out through the efforts of the Cambria County Drug Task Force, along with Cresson Borough and Cresson Township police departments.

The mother and son were arraigned before District Judge Rick Varner and placed in the Cambria County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bond each.

Another investigation, this one a two-month probe into drug trafficking in the city of Johnstown, resulted in the arrest of Perry “PJ” King Jr., 33, of the 700 block of Duke Place in Johnstown.

According to Kiniry, undercover police officers and informants made purchases of crack and prescription pills from King.

Task force officers were assisted in the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Johns-town Police Department and the Cambria County Sheriff’s Office.

King is accused of distributing $1,000 in drugs on the streets of Johnstown weekly. He was charged with several felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned before Varner and jailed in lieu of $90,000 bond.
