Johnstown will have Penn State football fans looking skyward before today’s game with Indiana University. Flown by members of the 1st Battalion, 104th Aviation, the helicopters are part of a week-long observance of Veterans Day at Penn State.

Drug suspects’ hearing postponed

SALIX – A preliminary hearing for three women who allegedly distributed large quantities of prescription pills that had been scheduled for Monday has been postponed until Nov. 23 before District Judge Rick Varner.

The suspects include two sisters, Kathleen Weimer, 30, of the 300 block of Oak Street, East Conemaugh; and Kelly Weimer, 20, of the 2500 block of William Penn Avenue, East Taylor Township. The other defendant is Shawna Delozier, 22, of the 700 block of Cambria Avenue, Revloc.

District Attorney Patrick Kiniry alleged that the women were “high-level prescription pill dealers who controlled the distribution network” in East Conemaugh, Jackson Township, Nanty Glo, Ebensburg, Cresson and the Mainline area.

They were arrested in late October by the Cambria County Drug Task Force.
