In brief: Alarm cut before Dollar General burglary
INDIANA —
A burglar cut wires to an alarm system before making off with $3,000 from a Dollar General store in Saltsburg, state police in Indiana County said.
The incident happened sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. Troopers said the suspect possibly was hiding in the store when it closed.
The burglar then climbed above a drop ceiling and entered a locked office through the ceiling. The suspect then cut wires to the alarm system, cut the hinges of a metal safe, removed the door and then made off with the money through an emergency door.
