• The following are more serious criminal cases filed recently at District Judge Rick Varner’s office in Salix:

Greg Swinger, 18, of the 1000 block of Mill Road, Sidman, charged with three counts, drug possession, one count of possessing drug paraphernalia, one count of tampering with public records and one count of conspiracy to sell heroin. Case is pending.

Brandon Tsikalas, 23, of the 500 block of Lloyd Street, Ebensburg, waived a hearing on charges of selling heroin and drug possesion. Case moves to Cambria County Court.

• The following are more serious criminal cases filed recently at District Judge Michael Zungali’s office in Hastings:

Access device fraud charges filed against Alyssa A. Dospoy, 29, of the 100 block of Cherry Street, Cresson, were withdrawn.

Steven J. Ward, 20, of the 400 block of 24th Street, Northern Cambria, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia with intent to use. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Jan. 6.

Nicholas J. Kelly, 18, of the 200 block of Hillcrest Street, Northern Cambria, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Jan. 6.

Jason J. Perrone, 24, of the 300 block of Carmel Street, Northern Cambria, was charged with DUI of a controlled substance/marijuana, high blood-alcohol content, driving while operating privileges are suspended and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Jan. 6.

Megan M. Woodley, 24, of the 2200 block of Philadelphia Avenue, Northern Cambria, was charged with unauthorized use of automobiles and driving while on DUI-related suspension. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Jan. 13.

Paul J. Dolges, 61, of the 800 block of Ridge Road, Hastings, was charged with DUI, resisting arrest or other law enforcement, terroristic threats, careless driving and driving on roadways laned for traffic. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Jan. 13.

• The following order and conditions of Probation without Verdict was filed recently at Cambria County Courthouse in Ebensburg:

Leslie J. Boyd, 22, of Mansion Boulevard, Altoona, for possession of paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy. Sentenced to 12 months probation and $1,600 in fines and costs.

• The following order and conditions of Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition was filed recently at Cambria County Courthouse in Ebensburg:

Michael J. Toth, 28, of the 200 block of Falls Run Road, Johnstown, for forgery. Sentenced to 23 months ARD and $1,872 in fines and costs.
