By Julie Benamati
The Tribune-Democrat

EMEIGH An early morning fire ripped through the home of Cherry Tree's fire chief, rendering the structure a total loss.

According to Cambria County's emergency services department, volunteers from seven fire companies responded to the Cherry Street home of Chief Ben Wilshire shortly after 4:34 a.m. today.

A state police fire marshal was reportedly called to the scene to investigate the cause of the Susquehanna Township blaze. No injuries have been reported. It is unknown if anyone was home when the fire broke out.

More information will be available in Tuesday's edition.
