In brief: Altoona man accused of Patton burglaries


PennDOT briefings will be held in area

PennDOT will hold its annual transportation outreach meetings for residents in Bedford, Cambria and Somerset counties.

District 9 staff members will present brief overviews of the construction schedules for 2012 and look ahead to major projects on the Transportation Improvement Program.

From 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, a meeting will be held at Breezewood fire hall at 150 Municipal Road.

On April 17, a meeting will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Somerset Township Building, 2209 N. Center Ave., and from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Ebensburg Center’s Renaissance Room.

Penn State Altoona to host gay pride event

ALTOONA – Keystone Alliance/Gaylife Newsletter will present its second annual Altoona Gay Pride Celebration from 8 to 11 p.m. April 20 at Adler Hall on the campus of Penn State Altoona.
