The alleged gunman in a deadly shooting in Johnstown’s Moxham section was jailed Wednesday.
Shahliek Maxwell Greene, 19, was picked up by city police at a home on Von Lunen Road.
City police alleged than Greene gunned down Joshua Scott Price around 1 a.m. The shooting happened at Price’s home in the 500 block of Cypress Avenue.
Price, 29, was shot at least four times and died at the scene, authorities said.
The shooting occurred during a reported dispute between the two men over a vehicle, city Detective Thomas Owens said.
“From the initial investigation, we were able to establish that there was some type of physical altercation between the suspect and the victim,” police Chief Craig Foust said. “It was just a physical type. At that point, a firearm became involved.”
Greene was charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm prohibited and firearms not to be carried without a license.
He was arraigned by on-call District Judge Leonard Grecek of Roxbury and sent to the Cambria County Prison without bond.
Police are still searching for the .380-caliber handgun that was used in the shooting.
City police arrived at the residence within four minutes of the call and found the victim and a few others inside.
EMS personnel arrived and found Price without a pulse and not breathing, police said.
Chief Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Lees pronounced Price dead at 2:24 a.m.
Police said Greene confessed to firing numerous shots at Price.
