Denne may repeat presentation

JOHNSTOWN — Not all local residents could clear time in their schedules, spend up to $25 on an admission ticket and attend the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce’s “State of the County & City” breakfast Thursday morning.

So, some members of Johnstown City Council would like to arrange a way for City Manager Kristen Denne to present the same information she discussed with local business leaders in another forum later this year.

During a council meeting Wednesday, the board examined several possibilities, such as broadcasting a presentation on television or holding a free event somewhere in the city.

“I just think that information should be easily accessible for anybody to get for the city they live in,” said City Council member Rose Howarth.

Denne was receptive to the idea, telling council, “I will do whatever you wish me to do. If you wish me to do the presentation again, I have no problem doing that.”

No plans for a future event were finalized during the council meeting.
