Physicians look forward to relocation

JOHNSTOWN — The addition of five primary care physicians at the newly renamed Conemaugh Medical Park will add 20 additional employees at the facility between Franklin and Napoleon Streets in Johnstown’s Kernville neighborhood.

“We successfully introduced Conemaugh Physician Group cardiology to the building this summer, and response from patients has been very positive,” group chairman Dr. Brian Lieb said in a press release. “Patients like the convenience of the facility, particularly the easy parking and diagnostic testing on site.

“Creating an excellent patient experience is at the core of these changes. We expect additional Conemaugh Physician Group practices to relocate to the medical park in the future.”

The five physicians opening Monday in the medical park are internists Samuel Massoud, Shriram Sirsikar and Harry Pote, and family medicine specialists Phillip Gvozden and John Yokitis.

“You cannot underestimate the importance of your relationship with your primary care physician,” Massoud said. “Having primary care physicians come together at this convenient location allows us to enhance our services as well as potential efficiencies. Patients will remain with their physician of choice but now there will be a network of physicians working together. I think our patients will be very pleased.”

An open house is planned in the coming weeks.
