City man deemed sexually violent predator

Convicted twice of child molestion, facing charges in third case

EBENSBURG — A Johnstown man was sentenced Tuesday to six to 23 months in county prison for sexually molesting a young girl in July.

It’s the second time that Dayon Richardson has been sentenced for such an offense, and he’s now facing new charges in a third incident.

On Tuesday, Judge Norman Krumenacker ruled that Richardson, 26, of the 900 block of Bedford Street, is a sexually violent predator under the state’s Megan’s law and will face a lifetime registration with the state police as a sex offender when he’s released from prison.
