The AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival may have been the last chance for area music lovers to see Gregg Allman for a while.
Allman has canceled his concert tour from Aug. 26 to Sept. 15 for medical reasons.
Rock legend Allman, 64, who suffers from upper respiratory problems, performed in Johnstown on Saturday.
Jambands.com reports that Allman will need several days of hospitalization and four to six weeks of bed rest.
“That speaks a lot about what kind of performer he is to be here,” said Shelley Johansson, marketing manager for Johnstown Area Heritage Association, the festival organizer.
Also, the Bridge, a six-man group from Baltimore, is breaking up this year after 10 years together. The group played in Johnstown on Sunday evening - their final festival show together.
The three-day event concluded Sunday.
