The Tribune-Democrat

JOHNSTOWN — Paul Boratko’s Lego Pittsburgh Steelers-themed supercar sold for for $1,160 on eBay. The final bid was from an individual in Johnstown who wishes to remain anonymous.

The auction ran from Jan. 24 through Sunday.

The money raised will be donated to the local chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Boratko, a Johnstown resident, said the second-highest bidder was from Australia, but that bid was beaten in the last eight seconds.

“I was shocked when I sent the invoice to the high bidder and noticed the Johnstown area ZIP code,” he said.

This the second time Boratko has auctioned off one of his designs.

A car called Vampire GT brought in $1,626 last year for the foundation.
