A West Taylor home sustained significant damage in a fire late Saturday.
Cambria 911 officials said West Taylor Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Ashcraft shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday.
No injuries were reported to the 911 center, a 911 supervisor said.
The scene was cleared at 11:35 p.m.
Burglary suspect charged
A Markleton man is accused of illegally entering an Upper Turkeyfoot Township home July 21.
State police in Somerset said Jason Keller, 33, was in possession of unspecified property from inside the home when arrested. He was lodged in jail for an unrelated Allegheny County bench warrant. Keller now faces burglary charges stemming from last week’s arrest.
Woman hurt in crash
ALTOONA – A Northern Cambria woman received minor injuries in a crash Friday in Tyrone Township, state police in Blair County said.
Police said Kayla R Morder, 20, was taken by ambulance to UPMC-Altoona with unspecified injuries
after the vehicle she was traveling in hit an embankment alongside Skelp Road.
Morder was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Amanda Fahr
of Altoona, who was not hurt, police said.
Patton club ransacked
PATTON – A burglar ransacked a social club in the borough July 16 and then ran off with cash.
David John Patrick, 33, allegedly threw a brick through the Sons of Italy’s front window on 4th Avenue, then scattered garbage and smashed other items once inside, state police in Ebensburg said.
Before leaving, Patrick drank a beer and several sodas, Trooper Chad Albert wrote in a news release.
The Patton man currently faces burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and other charges – all of which he has since waived to county court, police said.
He was lodged in jail after failing to post 10 percent of his $50,000 bond.
