Two jailed in Connellsville woman’s death

(Continued)

CONNELLSVILLE —

Bannasch was on parole after being released for time served against a six- to 23-month sentence a Fayette County judge imposed in February on charges he assaulted his 19-year-old girlfriend in August.

Rugg was sentenced to six to 23 months in the county jail in September after pleading guilty to indecent assault. He pleaded guilty after prosecutors agreed to drop more serious charges including rape of an unconscious person. That woman told police she got sick, fell asleep and later woke up to find Rugg having sex with her in August 2011.
