AmeriServ seeking vintage displays
AmeriServ Financial of Johnstown is searching for additional vintage holiday window displays from Glosser Brothers, Penn Traffic or other department stores.
Last year, the bank purchased and refurbished the first two holiday displays for public viewing and placed them at its downtown Johnstown office.
Residents of the city who grew up there were very familiar with Glosser Brothers and Penn Traffic, two former department stores that were longtime anchors of downtown Johnstown’s retail landscape.
Glenn Wilson, president and CEO, said the displays are a tradition the bank wants to keep and build on.
If anyone has any information regarding additional holiday displays from Glosser Brothers, Penn Traffic or other department stores, please contact Dan Hummel, executive vice president of corporate marketing, by email at dhummel@ ameriserv.com or by phone at 533-5345.
