Man injured in shooting

JOHNSTOWN — One man was hospitalized Sunday in an afternoon shooting in the city, Johnstown police said.

The incident, initially reported as multiple shots fired in the Fronheiser Street area of the city, remained under investigation Sunday night, Johnstown police said.

Johnstown Police Capt. Andrew Frear said one male was driven to Memorial Medical Center with a shoulder injury that was not believed to be life-threatening. He said no other information was immediately available as of Sunday evening.

The incident was dispatched around 2:30 p.m.
